ABOUT ME
I was born in the vibrant city of Baku, Azerbaijan, where the rich culture and history of the Caspian Sea region shaped my early years. Growing up in Baku, I developed a deep appreciation for the blend of tradition and modernity that characterizes my hometown.
I am a dedicated sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Boston University with a keen interest in Aerospace Engineering. My academic journey is driven by a passion for space exploration and discovery and a deep curiosity for understanding and improving the mechanics of the world around us. I am actively engaged in various roles, including Event Coordinator for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Mentorship Program Leader at BU. These roles have honed my skills in organization, leadership, and teamwork.
My professional experience includes an internship at Azercosmos, where I worked with the Space Satellite Operations Team, enhancing my data transmission and satellite operations skills. Additionally, I have a strong research and project management background, evidenced by my involvement in projects like the "HeartDefend" device and participation in international science fairs. My skills span engineering, communication, teamwork, and analytical thinking, making me well-equipped to tackle complex mechanical and aerospace engineering challenges.
This summer, I am interning at COP29, focusing on enhancing sustainable environmental practices. Scheduled for November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan, COP29 aims to advance the goals of the UNFCCC and the Paris Agreement by limiting global warming, adapting to climate impacts, and mobilizing finance for these efforts. This conference will foster deeper international cooperation and ambitious climate action to keep the 1.5°C target within reach.
